Bay Area Heating and Cooling (Now Integrity Home Solutions) | October 2018 - Present Service/Maintenance Technician Best customer service ratings in the whole company of HVAC technicians (Managers repletely tell me all the time as well as the office and even the owner/CEO that I have really good customer service). I would diagnose and fix heat pumps and AC systems to get people back up and running. Extremely low (Near zero call backs for previous service calls due to my correct diagnosis, fixes and attention to detail).
September 2014 - July 2016 | GPA: 3.7
During my time pursuing an HVACR Associates Degree, I gained a strong foundation in air conditioning and refrigeration. The curriculum was hands-on, preparing me for real-world jobs in the field. In my second year, I focused on leadership skills, which set me up for more advanced roles within the HVACR industry. I also earned essential industry certifications and developed advanced critical thinking skills, which helped me achieve my state HVACR Tradesman license in Virginia.
2001 - Present
Eagle Scout Throughout my life, I've been deeply involved in various volunteer and extracurricular activities. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout after 10 years in Scouting, completing a project that involved building four benches for the town of Warrenton. During high school, I was an active member of the Students Helping Honduras (SHH) Club, where I served as a Student Representative from 2010 to 2011, managing several successful fundraising events. I was also a dedicated cross-country runner for four years, and our team proudly won the state championship in 2008. More recently, in February 2024, I was part of the Codeboxx team that won a hackathon at the University of South Florida, which was a great experience that highlighted my teamwork and problem-solving skills. Additionally, I'm a current member of the St. Pete Running Club, and in 2017, I completed an unforgettable 525-mile backpacking trip from the French-Spanish border to the Atlantic Ocean. My passion for running also led me to complete the Richmond Marathon in 2010. Academically, I earned an HVACR Studies Associates from Northern Virginia Community College, graduating with a GPA of 3.78 in 2015, and hold an HVAC Universal 608 certification, which I obtained in 2014 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Endurance, both mentally and physically, is a key trait I bring to programming. As a dedicated runner who has completed a marathon, I’ve learned the value of persistence and staying calm in the face of challenges. This mindset translates directly into my coding work, where I approach complex problems with patience and resilience, allowing me to push through difficult tasks without losing focus. Just like with running, I understand that success in programming comes from steady progress and the ability to keep going, even when the path is tough.
I’m known for my hard work, often putting in longer hours than most of my peers at Codeboxx, and completing all the modules, even though it wasn’t required. In my HVAC career, I consistently worked late into the night to help customers without AC, always maintaining a positive attitude and dedication to getting the job done.
I’m empathetic in my approach, always considering others' feelings before taking action and following up to ensure they are comfortable with an idea or situation. I believe in respecting and understanding people's emotions, which helps me better grasp their perspectives and find solutions that take their concerns into account.
I bring creativity from my passion for painting into my programming work, consistently developing unique solutions and ideas that others might overlook. This ability to think outside the box makes my approach both innovative and valuable.
